We live in 2024, and yet, it’s still near impossible to get utility companies to do their jobs. Need cable installed? Are you around between now and… June? Water issue? Sorry, we’re busy with other problems — hope you’re fine not showering for the next month! And don’t even get me started on the abysmal state of this country’s internet.

One man in Argentina has been dealing with a utility problem for several years. But rather than wait on hold and yell at customer service like the rest of us, he decided to go to the office himself — and destroy the place.

Watch the video here.

According to Telediario, the man in the video is named Sergio Brusco, and he’s a resident of Posadas, Argentina. Another source quotes the company, who attempted to explain Brusco’s issue. “This man bought a lot located at the old entrance to the city of Posadas, where he began to build a house. He has to move, but the construction company won’t install the light meter. He comes to complain to our offices, but we can’t do anything. They have to complain to the construction company,” said a spokesperson for Energía de Misiones.

However, as someone who has also been told I just need to “call the other company” over and over again, I can understand Brusco’s frustration. Telediario also claims to have gotten several quotes from the man about what happened.

“This month, I have to go. I have three children. What am I going to do? Am I going to go home without electricity? I’ve been doing this for two years. We’re going to go for three years,” said Brusco. “My rent ended on January 13, and I have to move. And I don’t have electricity or water. I’ve been struggling with this for two years.”

The breakdown shown in this video came after multiple attempts to resolve the situation through other means, such as mediation and filing claims. That said, he expressed regret about what happened, saying he “did not recognize” himself in the video.

No need to apologize, Sergio — I get it!
